In this post, I will share my sketch for my magazine cover and the components that will take up the front and make it look as realistic as possible. Since to this being a draft, there is components which could change or some that I may have missed due to a lack of space, which I will address on the post.

MY SKETCH:

EXPLANATION:

Masthead: My masthead being "Full time" is because it is a popular, well-known, commonly used term, making it more capable of attracting readers. The Masthead also is pretty vague when it comes on what may be talked about on the inside, giving me the chance that if I would have to change to plan B, I more then likely wouldn't have to change the title. The font for this Masthead is "Revain - Sans Serif". I decided to choose this font since it is a strong, well spaced font which can, not only, compliment the rest of my magazine but stand out from other magazines and other texts from my magazine, potentially becoming one of the centers of attention and attracting potential readers. Headlines and Coverlines: As you can see in my magazine, i have a couple of Headlines and Coverlines, which are used to give a hint of the contents in the magazine, like the interview. Puff: The puff is "Going Pro", which at the time, I felt was pretty good since the magazine will be talking about tips for players to get better at soccer, which would lead them into the right direction. But now that I read it and really think about it, I feel that it is not bad, but there is better options so I might change it for my final magazine.

Barcode and date: You could see the Barcode and Date next to each other at the bottom right. I put them there so they don't take space in the magazine and so they attract a minimal amount of the viewers attention. They were also added just for the reason of adding a sense of realism in this draft.

Color Palette: My color palette does not seem to have a wide variety and this is mainly because it is a draft. However, for my final magazine I am planning on adding more color like for the Headlines and Coverlines, as well as incorporating a good background, like a soccer field. Skyline: My Skyline says "A player's dream guide to greatness". The reason behind this specific Skyline is due to this magazine having the intention to act as a guide for players with the use of helpful tips and advice from other, more experienced, players. This Skyline, all though small, can also be used to further interest a reader on the magazine, supporting the Masthead.

Although this was only a draft, I really had fun completing the drawing and coming up with ideas for my magazine. I am excited to start working on the final magazine, hopefully using many of these ideas I have added in this draft.
