2nd Genre Photoshoot

For this blog post we had to take the 15-20 pictures for our second genre and present it to the class. I choose Food as my second genre and the these some of my photos:

Before I started taking these pictures, I was thinking about ideas, and the first thing that came to my mine was the different types of meals / foods that we eat in a day. As you can see in picture #4 and #6, those are eggs, which usually are associated with breakfast, and if you look to the middle, picture #5 is supposed to be the final result from the cooking, interpreting what some people start the day with. I liked picture #4

and #6, they were simple ideas which I think came out well. My teacher and classmates did give me feedback on these 3, for example, if the lighting in #6 would've been a little better, the picture would've seen better and more vibrant, which I agree with. Picture #5 was the one that got the most feedback out of all 6 pictures and it was also my least favorite this is because of many reasons. First of, the lighting could have been better and in the background you can see the sink and the stuff inside it, this makes it seem a little bad. the feedback I specifically got was that I could've tried to switch the location or the angle so you couldn't see it.

Furthermore, picture #3 was supposed to show a light snack, like chocolate, that you can easily and quickly get and eat. This picture shows this and is actually chocolate. In this picture I really liked how the background matched with the chocolate wrapper, and I also did not received any feedback for it. Picture #1 was supposed to interpret lunch. It did not receive much feedback, apart from being sure that my background is clean. In the top corner, you can see a straw and the table is a little dirty, if I were to use this picture as the cover, those 2 little aspects could ruin it and make it look unprofessional. Finally, picture #2 is showing Dinner, which sometimes people go out to eat, this is the case in the picture. This picture only got 1 piece of feed back and it was the blurry part in the front. If it wasn't blurry it would've looked better. In general. this was a really fun photoshoot, and my favorite is between #1 and #2, but after completing the assignment, I am still leaning towards sports.
