The typography of the masthead is carefully determined as it can be significant for a magazines success. The design and its size is able to make the magazine seem a certain way or give a reader a certain feeling. For this blog post I have to look for the perfect font for my magazine.

Kerntype
This is a website where we are challenged to try and space out the letters, the end goal being to get 100/100 accuracy. I was surprised by how well I was doing because, as you can see, the first couple of attempts I had gotten 100, and even my lowest wasn't too bad. This game helped me see the challenge that comes with spacing the letters and the importance of spacing them correctly.
FONTS I LOOKED AT:

To find my fonts, I used the website Fontspace. The name of each font is below the example of how it looks with the masthead of my magazine.
PALADINS(Serif): I liked this one a lot at first, but when I saw the rest, it moved down my list
TULLAMORE(Serif): I like the spacing as it kinda makes it look dramatic but it might be to compact.
BOA CONSTRUKTOR(Serif): This one could work, I would have to see how it could compliment my magazine
REVAIN(Sans serif): one of my favorites as it is a strong font and can get the job done of attracting the readers attention.
BIGGER SCAPE(Serif): This one i have mixed feelings as it feels more messy but i like the font and it just has a sporty look overall.
Choosing what font to use for my masthead was really hard since a lot of them I liked. One of the main reasons however, to why it was so hard to choose one as my favorite, and overall choosing them while seeing them on the website, is due to me not being able to properly visualize them onto the magazine. At this moment, I also don't really know how Im going to do my magazine, so this contributed to this hard decision. Out of all of these, I have decided to use Revain. It is my favorite, with Tullamore being a plan B.
